چکیده

Abstract In this research article effect of steel fibers on workability and compressive strength recycled aggregate concrete is presented. Recycled aggregates from demolished waste were used in equal proportion with conventional aggregates. Steel 1 mm diameter 25 length used. For preparation 1:2:4 mix 0.55 water-cement ratio was Workability each checked by slump cone test. Total 40 samples prepared standard way cured for 28 days. All the specimens tested maximum load universal testing machine under gradually increasing at rate 0.5 kN/sec. Recorded converted into strength. The obtained results showed that decreased increase dosage than concrete. Compressive observed 15% 34% higher fiber 3%. It evident although addition reduces but binary blending not only overcomes loss shows gain fibers.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength

Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method.  One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

Compressive Strength Study on the Freeze-thaw Resistance of Recycled Aggregate Concrete Members

Results: The experiment results indicate that the type of recycled aggregate and its replacement ratio have significant effects on the freezethaw performance. The cubic compressive strength of recycled aggregate concrete is overall slightly lower than that of normal concrete. After 100 freeze-thaw cycles, the compressive strength decreases and the reduction extent increases with increasing repl...

Recycled glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete – Effects on compressive strength

Waste management is becoming a major issue for communities worldwide. Glass, being nonbiodegradable, is not suitable for addition to landfill, and as such recycling opportunities need to be investigated. Due to the high material consumption of the construction industry, the utilisation of waste glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete is particularly attractive. ...
